NPC Book Fair & Authors' Night continues to accept author applications
The region’s premiere holiday book event is back at the National Press Club for the 40th year and is now accepting author applications through 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29. Applications received after the deadline will not be reviewed. All literary genres are considered, however self-published books and books only available in e-format will not be accepted. The application fee of $75 for Club members and $150 for non-members is due and payable upon acceptance to the Book Fair. Graham, Woodward plan to speak at Fourth Estate Dinner honoring Kornheiser, Wilbon
Bob Woodward and Donald Graham plan to join join Maury Povich and John Skipper as speakers roasting and toasting this year's Fourth Estate Award Winners, sports journalists Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser, co-hosts of ESPN’s “Pardon the Interruption," on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The National Press Club 2017 members' photography exhibit begins Thursday, Aug. 31. The 18th annual show put on by Club's Photography Team continues in the Club's main lobby through Sept. 29. The show features the work of 48 members telling visual stories from today's headlines, as well as gripping images from history and those with timeless natural beauty.
