Fourth Estate Restaurant takes a break until Sept. 3
The National Press Club's Fourth Estate Restaurant is closed for two weeks Aug. 20 through Monday, Sept. 3. It will reopen for regular dining hours beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4. But for Club fans of the restaurant, all is not lost. Club members can still enjoy lunch and dinner in the Reliable Source restaurant.

Institute to host 'Journalism Stay Safe Day' Aug. 28
Reporters generally run towards danger, but lately they have been attracting it. Because of the heightened threats against members of the journalism profession, the National Press Club and its nonprofit affiliate, the National Press Club Journalism Institute, in partnership with and the National Press Foundation, are devoting a half day to the topic of reporter safety on Aug. 28 from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no cost to attend this event.
