Photos by National Press Club members portraying people, places, and events worldwide are now on display in the Club's 13th floor lobby. The 19th annual photo exhibit features the work of 46 Club members, exhibiting 52 print photographs and 159 electronic images displayed in slideshows on six computer screens. Craigslist founder to describe effort to boost trust in news at Headliners Luncheon, Sept. 24
Craig Newmark, founder of the free classified ads site Craigslist, will speak at a National Press Club Headliners Luncheon Monday, Sept. 24, to discuss his philanthropic efforts to strengthen trust in news. Newmark has poured money into journalism research, training, and direct support of news gathering since the 2016 election. Reporters generally run towards danger, but lately they have been attracting it.
