Applications open for Fall 2024 Lewis Scholarship
Aspiring journalists can apply now for a fall scholarship that provides free housing and a monthly stipend to support student journalists of color with internships at news media outlets in Washington. Applications are open for the National Press Club’s Lewis Scholarship, which aims to improve accessibility to experiential learning opportunities in the nation’s capital for students of color. National Press Club's American Legion Post honored
The Club's American Legion post was one of three in Washington named Post of the Year at the annual convention of the D.C. Department of the American Legion. In addition, Post 20 Commander Tom Young was named commander of the year, and Post 20 Sergeant-at-Arms Evelyn Moy, who also serves in that same capacity with the D.C. American Legion department, received special mention for her contributions to the Legion. Post 20 has been affiliated with the National Press Club for more than a century. The post was founded at the urging of famed World War I General John J. Pershing.
