The Voter Empowerment Action Project (VEAP) plans to unveil Voter Connect, a program to connect voters in blue states with voters in red states — one day before the North Carolina primaries, at a National Press Club Newsmakers event on May 5 at 10 a.m. in the NPC's Zenger Room. Pols v. press spelling bee set
One hundred years ago, the National Press Club organized a spelling bee, pitting members of Congress against Washington reporters. In 1913, President Wilson attended, a member of his Cabinet moderated and an Ohio congressman won.
