Pollster John Zogby to release New Hampshire tracking polls, 10 am Jan. 5
Renowned U.S. political pollster John Zogby will present the latest U.S. presidential election poll results from surveys in New Hampshire between Christmas and New Year’s, based on two tracking polls of 450 likely voters, at a Newsmakers press conference at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, in the Zenger Room. Exhibit reveals strategies to count crowds at protests and rallies
The exhibit "The Science & Art of Crowd Counting" will be displayed Monday, Dec. 19, through Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Club. Digital Design & Imaging Service Inc., and CBS News will sponsor the exhibit, which presents the aerial imaging tools and photo analysis strategies that count crowds at outdoor protests and rallies. Journalists and professional photographers are invited to attend the official exhibit viewing in the Club’s lobby on Wednesday,Jan. 4, at 6:30 p.m. A cash bar and dinner will be available at the Fourth Estate Restaurant.

UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova will assert at a National Press Club Newsmaker at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, that the United States is undermining its influence in the world by reducing its contributions to the organization. Three days after raising of the flag of Palestine in a ceremony at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, Bokova will discuss the U.S. decision to cut funding to the organization following the vote of UNESCO’s General Conference to admit Palestine as a member state on Oct. 31. Club joins call for Supreme Court to broadcast health care argument
The National Press Club joined with numerous other media groups in asking U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts Jr. to allow audio and video recordings of oral arguments in three health care law cases. ``The American public's access to affordable health care is among the most significant issues to inform public debate in this country and to come before its highest Court in many years,'' states the letter to Roberts.
