Photo Tips at Photo Committee Meeting, Noon March 31
Noel St. John, NPC's photo coordinator, will speak at the Photography Committee's meeting at noon Wednesday, March 31, in the McClendon Room. St. John will talk about "Capturing the Moment: Tips for Taking Better Photos at the NPC." He will illustrate several photo techniques, such as when and how to use flash indoors, by showing a sampling of photos taken by NPC volunteer photographers. All are welcome to attend, and no reservations are required; however, seating is limited in the McClendon Room.

Award-Winning Magicians at Family Night, 7:30 pm April 14
Two winners of the Magician of the Year contest hosted by the Washington D.C.-area chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians will be among the performers at a free magic show at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, in the conference rooms. Noland Montgomery has won the contest four times; Dwight Redman has won it twice. Both will be among the seven magicians participating in the family-friendly show. Iranian Photojournalist Speaks at 7 pm March 30
Iranian photojournalist Hasan Sarbakshian, whose home country refused to renew his press pass, will discuss the experience and his work at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, in the First Amendment Lounge. Since losing his ability to work in Iran, Sarbakshian moved to the DC area. This is the first of the Freedom of the Press Series, an event aimed at allowing international reporters speak out about their experiences trying to report in their home country.This event is free and open to the public an.
