Club extends McCarren contract
The Board of Governors of the National Press Club announced an agreement with Executive Director William C. McCarren to continue directing the business side of the 104-year-old institution through 2015. Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council (FRC), will speak at a Sept. 12 luncheon on the role of "biblical values" in the November elections. Perkins plans to discuss what he regards as threats to religious liberties, traditional marriage and the unborn.
