Rivlin, Walker to discuss fiscal message of U.S. bus tour, 1 pm Oct. 10
David Walker, CEO of Comeback America and former head of the U.S. Government Accountability Office, and Alice Rivlin, member of the Presidential Debt Commission and former head of the Office of Management and Budget, will discuss the national debt, health care policy and tax reform at a National Press Club Newsmaker panel at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the Zenger Room. Volunteers are needed for the 35th annual National Press Club Book Fair scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Press Club Ballroom. Volunteers will work in shifts, the first shift from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and the second shift from 7 to 8:30 p.m. You may request a specific shift but depending on the number of requests, there is no guarantee of being assigned the requested shift.
