Is there a better way to run the presidential debates? Join Marvin Kalb as he hosts 2016 debate moderators Martha Raddatz of ABC News and Chris Wallace of Fox News as well as Presidential Debates Co-Chairs Frank Fahrenkopf and Mike McCurry for a post-election review at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, in the National Press Club ballroom. Art Wiese's Snippets #3
1979 Club President Art Wiese was one of the Club's greatest leaders and most ardent supporters. He was responsible for planning much of the reconstruction of the Club during the building renovation in the early 1980s. For years, he was a watchdog to assure that the Club maintained its tradition as a safe harbor for journalists and communicators. Wake planned Saturday Dec. 3 for former Press Club President Cosgrove
The National Press Club will honor the late John Cosgrove, a former NPC president who passed away last month, on Saturday Dec. 3 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a reception for Press Club members and his family and friends in the NPC Ballroom. Cosgrove, who presented President John F. Kennedy his NPC membership card, served his club for decades and was the NPC's longest surviving president. The Board of Governors renamed the newly renovated Games Room as the John Cosgrove Members' Lounge in September. The wake is open to members and no tickets are required.
