Gen. Paul Nakasone, director of the National Security Agency, announced at a National Press Club Headliners Luncheon Thursday a new Artificial Intelligence Security Center to be housed within NSA and consolidate agency's various initiatives around the security of the new technology. The history of women combat reporters in Vietnam seems to have gotten lost, two authors told the National Press Club’s History and Heritage program Wednesday, Oct. 11. Club votes to raise dues by $2 per month for most members in 2024
National Press Club members attending the General Membership Meeting on Friday, Oct. 20, voted to increase annual dues by $2 per month for most members. Under the plan, annual dues for journalists and communicators would rise by $24 in 2024. A $1-per-month increase, or $12 annually, would apply to young members, retirees and spousal members. The policy was approved by a voice vote of the approximately 50 people in attendance, with one dissent. Press Club to honor NBC's Kristen Welker with Fourth Estate Award Nov. 28
Kristen Welker, NBC News chief White House correspondent and new moderator of “Meet the Press,” will receive the National Press Club’s Fourth Estate Award on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
