Bipartisan Congressional Cuba Trip
Rep. Frey, the chair, and several other members of a delegation of former members of Congress which recently visited Cuba released a report on their findings. They briefed reporters on what they saw and what changes in U.S. policy toward Cuba they would recommend. They recommended ending the isolation policy toward Cuba and opening of U.S.-Cuba relations in order to undermine the Castro regime and to prepare Cuba for when Castro dies or his regime ends.

Gulf War Illnesses
Four physicians briefed reporters on their private papers on Gulf War illnesses at a news conference sponsored by the Southwestern Medical Center of the University of Texas in Dallas. The four papers will appear in the upcoming issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association. The most controversial report by Dr. Haley indicates that a combination of agents, including many self-imposed by armed forces personnel, may have cause neurological damage to some veterans.

Television Ratings System
Mr. Valenti and several television industry leaders released a six-tier television ratings system based on viewer age, which excludes sports and news programming. The six categories are: TV-G, suitable for all users; TV-Y, suitable for all children; TV-Y-7, suitable for children seven and older; TV-PG, parental guidance suggested; TV-14, suitable for children fourteen and older; TV-M, suitable only for adults. Middle East Peace and Lebanon Reconstruction
After recently forming his third government in four years, Prime Minister Hariri spoke about the parallel courses of a lasting peace in the Middle East and the reconstruction of Lebanese economy and society. He emphasized that the Lebanese economy is growing steadily, but that a lasting peace is the only true solution to the nation's problems, especially its security problems.
