When Journalism Becomes the Story: Highlights
The challenges to journalists are coming fast and furious: Access denied; outright falsehoods; alternative facts; sources afraid to talk. The National Press Club Journalism Institute, the club’s professional training affiliate, joined forces with another non-profit dedicated to journalism education, the National Press Foundation, to host a half-day symposium on the morning of April 19, 2017. Our panelists included beat reporters and industry leaders. The goal: to help the working press begin brainstorming on how to navigate the treacherous landscape facing us today.
