Peter Bregg Exhibit
Marking the 30th anniversary of the release of American Embassy hostages in Iran, an exhibition of photos by Peter Bregg focusing on developments in Iran during the 444 days that the hostages were held will be on display in the Club Lobby from Jan. 21 through Feb. 4. The 35 images reflect a haunting look back at events and personalities that marked the seizure of the embassy. The formal opening of the exhibition will be at a reception from 6 to 8pm on Friday, Jan. 21, with remarks in the Conference Rooms at 6:30pm. The National Press Club will honor its 2010 John Aubuchon Freedom of the Press Award winners at a special event on Nov. 15 in the Holeman Lounge. The award, given each year to one domestic and one international recipient, honors people who have contributed to the cause of press freedom and open government.This year’s U.S. winner is Charles N.
