There has never been a more anticipated Opening Day for baseball than the 2021 season. While most ballparks are limiting their capacities for spectators, the Press Club is the next best place to watch the game with friends and colleagues. Fifty fans will have the opportunity to watch the Washington Nationals play the New York Mets on Thursday, April 1. Unfortunately, baseball fans won't be heading to the ballpark this year, so the Press Club will be creating an alternative experience and the next safest option to watching the game at home. Young Members To Host Author, TV Producer, Newsday Reporter Tom Maier Sept. 19 The Club’s Young Members Committee will host longtime Newsday reporter Tom Maier on Sept. 19 for an evening discussion of multimedia careers in newspapers, books, television production and related fields. NPC 20th Annual Photography Exhibit Reception
This year's reception is a special event, and we're using the 20th annual exhibit to raise awareness of the Fallen Journalists Memorial supported by the National Press Club Journalism Institute. The memorial has special meaning to news photographers who are often highly visible targets for attackers. Representatives of the foundation will be at the reception to tell more about the project.
