John Kasich, a Republican presidential candidate, will outline a national security strategy that involves rebuilding the U.S. military, "reinvigorating" diplomatic alliances and renewing a commitment to "fundamental Western values" in a speech at the National Press Club at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 17. The event, sponsored by the Club’s Speakers Committee, is slated to follow the format of a Club luncheon, but lunch will not be served. Join us at the next Republican Debate Watch Party of Campaign ’16 on November 10th in the First Amendment Lounge. Doors will open at 8:00 p.m. The debate will start at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 for non-members and $10 for members. You may make an evening of it by making a dinner reservation at the Reliable Source or Fourth Estate restaurants before the event begins. Raimonds Vējonis, who became Latvia president in July, will discuss the geopolitical situation in the Eastern Europe, plans for increased defense spending in his country and migrant crisis in Europe -- at a National Press Club luncheon on Oct. 1.
