Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Screening and Panel Discussion with Female War Correspondents
The National Press Club's Young Members and International Correspondents Committees will host a screening of the film Whiskey Tango Foxtrot on Friday, July 29, followed by a panel discussion featuring journalist and author Kim Barker, whose real life experiences depicted in her book, "The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan," inspired the making of the film. NPC Communications and Marketing co-chair Danny Selnick will discuss the evolution of the press release at a Communicators Breakfast on July 13 at 8 a.m. Admission to the breakfast is free for NPC Members. The Libertarian Party presidential ticket – former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson and former Massachusetts Gov. National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Christopher Hart will address the role of automation in preventing transportation accidents and will apply lessons learned in aviation to the development of self-driving cars at a National Press Club luncheon June 30.
