American Legion Post 20 to Host British Defense Attache
The next luncheon meeting of American Legion Post 20 will be held on Wednesday, June 21 at noon in the Cosgrove Room at the National Press Club. The guest speaker will be Rear Admiral Tim Woods of Britain's Royal Navy. Admiral Woods is Britain's Defense Attache in Washington, and he previously served as Defense Attache in Ukraine. He will offer his perspective on common US/UK national security issues ranging from the war in Ukraine to tensions with China. International Correspondents Committee Happy Hour
Join your fellow foreign correspondents for drinks at the International Correspondents Committee happy hour! The ICC team will gather in the Cosgrove Lounge to mingle, network and discuss current events. The team will be joined by a special guest from Ukraine, who will be sharing the latest from the ground. Also a team member, Øystein Bogen, will be sharing his experiences reporting from Putin's Russia.

National Press Club members are invited to another lively discussion with fellow communications leaders and journalists on current topics that we all face in our function and profession. By sharing our concerns, ideas, approaches and strategies, we help each other be more effective in our roles. Long-time NPC member and artist Carol Morgan presents her photo collection and essay, about an innovative urban agriculture project in her neighborhood, at the next Photo Team meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 12:00 to 2:00 pm, in the Cosgrove Lounge.
