Long-time NPC member and artist Carol Morgan presents her photo collection and essay, about an innovative urban agriculture project in her neighborhood, at the next Photo Team meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 12:00 to 2:00 pm, in the Cosgrove Lounge. Carol recently published the photo array and commentary, called "Moments of Life in a Dead City," about Columbia Heights Green, an initiative that turned a blighted abandoned property into a working farm growing organic produce for local customers, including families in need. Artificial intelligence has gained a foothold in photography and design, with new software and services such as Adobe's Firefly, but its use is also growing in image editing. Action for Ukrainian Orphans with American Parents
Prospective adoptive families, lawmakers, experts and dignitaries are coming together to examine the 16-month effort to bring 300 Ukrainian orphans to safety in the US with the families who love them. This diverse group will consider what is in the best interest of the children while discussing how to motivate the Biden administration to collaborate with Ukraine to save these children.
