U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff General Mark Welsh will discuss the future of the Air Force at a National Press Club breakfast on Wednesday, April 23. General Welsh took the helm for the Air Force in August 2012. Before his appointment, he was Commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe and oversaw the operations of the Air Force base in Ramstein, Germany. Congress.gov is the official public web site for legislative information and includes data for bills and resolutions, the Congressional Record, committee reports, nominations, treaties, and executive communications. The site offers a full spectrum of search tools and other research resources. Tammie Nelson, the project manager of Congress.gov, will briefly discuss the history of Congress.gov and will provide a demonstration of its capabilities. Bring your specific research questions and put her on the spot for an interactive Q&A after the demonstration.

A Celebration of the Late John Cosgrove
The National Press Club will honor the late John Cosgrove, a former NPC president who passed away in October, on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. A reception for Press Club members and his family and friends will follow. Cosgrove, who presented President John F. Kennedy his NPC membership card, served the club for decades and was the NPC's longest-surviving president. The Board of Governors renamed the newly-renovated Games Room as the "John Cosgrove Members' Lounge" in September. The wake is open to members; no tickets are required, but we kindly ask that you RSVP below.
