Reliable Source Book & Author/Roast Beef Buffet
National Press Club members and their guests are invited to attend the Annual Book & Author/Roast Beef Buffet on Tuesday, November 18 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Reliable Source. Come and join us before and after you purchase books for friends and relatives gift for the Holidays. The price of the Roast Beef Buffet is $25 for Club members and $35 for nonmembers, plus tax and gratitude. Reservations are encouraged because this event has sold out in the past. These periodic, casual get-togethers, sponsored by the Freelance Committee, are open forums to discuss various topics of interest to freelancers. With Halloween right around the corner, the focus of this soiree will be our fears. Being a freelancer can be scary. We’ll talk about some of the things that spook us and how to overcome them. A couple of examples: lack of health insurance and benefits, the roller coaster of an erratic income. Bring your own list of “things that go bump in the night” to discuss. No RSVP necessary.
