Reform in Intercollegiate Athletics
Mr. Brand spoke about the role of athletics and academics at universities and colleges. He warned the increasing commercialization of several college sports had created an "arms race" to improve sports programs that hurt academic programs. He also talked about ways to curb these trends. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience.
