Reflections on Leaving Congress
Senator Simpson will retire at the end of this congressional term. He reminisced, with many humorous turns of phrase, about his congressional career, colleagues, and experiences. He also repeated his serious concerns about the Social Security and Medicare systems. His wife was with him at the head table, as was his friend Senator Bob Kerrey (D-NE).
