Obesity Treatment Guidelines
Dr. Koop released new guidelines for the medical treatment of obesity which were developed by Shape Up America and the American Obesity Association. He outlined the dimensions of the obesity problem in the U.S. population and how physicians can begin to treat obese persons. He and several obesity experts also took questions from the audience.
