Filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan Will Tell How 'I Got Schooled' at Luncheon June 11
Hollywood writer-director M. Night Shyamalan will discuss his off-screen campaign to close America’s education achievement gap at a Club luncheon on Wednesday, June 11.
Known for such supernatural thrillers as "The Sixth Sense" and more recently the sci-fi action film “After Earth,” he recently published a book, "I Got Schooled," about the work of the foundation he and his wife founded to help inner-city students succeed.
Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session. Tickets cost $22 for Club members, who may purchase two tickets at the member rate. Tickets cost $36 for nonmembers.
Books will be available for purchase and Shyamalan will sign the books immediately following the luncheon.
