Aldo Cazzullo plans to discuss his book “The Neverending Empire: The Infinite Impact of Ancient Rome” at a Headliners Book Event on May 9, 2025 at 5:30 pm.

Cazzullo has been reporting on major Italian and international events for 35 years.   He is currently deputing managing director of Corriere della Sera in Milan. He has published 30 books on Italian history and identity. “The Neverending Empire” claims the true heirs of the Roman Empire are western civilization and the United States. Cazzullo will discuss the parallels between challenges that the Roman Empire face and those America faces today: from immigration and the extension of citizenship to migrants, to the issues connected with a multicultural, multiethnic and multireligious society.

The event will include a discussion with the author and a book signing. Ticket prices are $5 for National Press Club members and $10 for general admission. Books are available for pre-purchase. A limited number of books will be for sale at the event.

To submit a question in advance for our guest, put EMPIRE in the subject line and email to [email protected]. The deadline for submitting questions in advance is 4 p.m. on the day of the event.
