On April 22, 2025, at 3:00PM, the Press Freedom Center at the National Press Club will host a virtual event with author and journalist Jon Allsop. Allsop, who recently authored What is Journalism For?, will read from his book and discuss its major themes, such as the relationship between journalism and activism and what’s at stake when journalism is threatened. He will also participate in a Q&A session with Press Freedom Center Director Bill McCarren and take questions from the audience.
