Dr. Mikhail "Mike" Varshavski will speak at a National Press Club Headliners Dinner on Friday, May 30th. Doctor Mike is board-certified family medicine physician, media personality, educator, writer, and philanthropist with 25,000,000+ followers.

During his residency, Doctor Mike decided to document his journey and share his medical learnings with the internet. Over the next few years, he garnered 651+ million views, making his platform one of the largest in health education. Leveraging his media presence and impact in the medical community, he covers the importance of health literacy while simultaneously battling misinformation in a practical, yet entertaining approach. As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded, Doctor Mike made it his mission for his platform to be a source of the most reliable and up-to-date information as it was reported.

According to an NCHS Data Brief, 58.5% of adults have used the internet to look for health or medical information. At the Headliners Dinner, Doctor Mike will talk about his ongoing work to combat medical misinformation online and change the way we talk about health.

The event begins with dinner in the Ballroom at 8:00 p.m., followed by Q&A with National Press Club President Mike Balsamo beginning at 8:30 p.m. National Press Club members may purchase up to two tickets for the discounted $25 member rate. Non-member tickets cost $45.
