Meeting

Photo copyright registration workshop, Apr. 16

In today’s environment, photographers want to display their work to the widest audience possible, but do not want their photos inappropriately captured by unsavory characters. One level of protection is to register their images with the U.S. Copyright Office. On Apr. 16, NPC Photography Team member D.J. Caulfield will take us through his recent experience with securing copyright registrations, providing a step-by-step breakdown of the sometimes complex process. Caulfield's 30-minute talk will be followed Q&A from in-person and remote participants.

D.J. Caulfield is a veteran reporter and photographer for newspapers on Long Island, N.Y., as well as press officer on Capitol Hill and for U.S. federal agencies. He is also co-chair of the Club's History and Heritage Team.

The meeting on Wednesday, April 16 is in the McLendon Room adjacent to the Reliable Source. We will begin with a self-funded lunch at 12 noon, and start the program for both in-person and remote participants at 12:45 pm. Registration is free and open to all NPC members, but registration is required.
