Club members invited to Photo Team holiday party Dec. 10

National Press Club members are invited to join the Photography Team's annual holiday party beginning at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the Cosgrove Lounge. Registration is required.

Each year, the Photo Team's holiday party features a photo show-and-tell, where participants send in a digital image they've taken on a holiday-related theme to display and tell the story behind the photo. The theme this year is "play." Participants can interpret that theme any way they want, with creative, inventive, and offbeat interpretations encouraged.

Note that the word "play" is both a noun and verb, with many contexts to stimulate imaginations. For example, children play games, musicians play instruments, and actors play roles. Football has running plays and pass plays, while baseball has double plays. Send your "play" images to Photo Team chair Alan Kotok at [email protected] by Friday, Dec. 6.

At the event ,the Photo Team also will thank the Club's crew of volunteer photographers who covered NPC events for the Wire and website during the year. Members can take part either in-person or online. Participants attending online can also send in their photos by Dec. 6 for display and discussion at the party.
