Your Giving Tuesday donation will help NPC Journalism Institute support journalists in their work
Journalists have faced a year of industry upheaval. But through it all, the National Press Club and the NPC Journalism Institute have been there to support members and journalists across the country with training, events and community-building. The Institute’s efforts to bolster journalists in 2024 have included:
-
Starting Career Day at the National Press Club, where over 300 journalism and communications jobseekers gathered at the Club in March to meet with recruiters, receive career advice from seasoned professionals, participate in training, and update their headshots. Career Day will return on March 28, 2025.
-
Offering timely, relevant, and free to low-cost educational programming, both in-person and virtually. This year, members such as Alison Fitzgerald Kodjak, Eileen O’Reilly, Ed Kelley, and Mark Walker contributed their time and expertise to train and educate the journalism community.
-
Publishing The Latest, our daily, industry-focused newsletter that provides a curated list of news-related headlines, best practices, leadership advice, and resources. It reaches more than 5,000 readers in newsrooms, agencies, and classrooms in all 50 states.
We are close to reaching our fundraising goals for 2024, and every dollar counts. If you are able to give, a donation in honor of Giving Tuesday will help us continue to power journalism in the public interest.
