National Press Club member Natalie Jacobsen will discuss her new novel, "Ghost Train", at a member author event in the Cosgrove Lounge on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.

"Ghost Train," Jacobsen’s debut novel, is historical fiction based in Meiji Era-Japan. Set in 1877 Kyoto, "Ghost Train" tells the story of Maru Hosokawa, a samurai daughter whose life changes when her father gives up his samurai sword. Jacobsen is an award-winning writer, journalist, and marketer in the nonprofit and government space. She published her first article at age 13, and has been writing ever since. After growing up in Oregon and spending years in Japan and Virginia as a reporter, she now lives in Washington.
