Tom Squitieri, 71

Tom Squitieri, an award-winning reporter and former National Press Club vice president, died Sept. 1.  He was 71.

A native of Pennsylvania, Tom started his career in Washington in the 1970s at the Thomson Newspapers bureau in the National Press Building.  He was a National Press Club officer in the mid-1980s and served as vice president in 1987.  A remembrance will be held on Oct. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Palisades Community Church in Washington.
