Photo Team to hear about local bird photography at Oct. 9 meeting
Birds make some of the best wildlife photo subjects, and can be found in your own backyard.
The next National Press Club Photography Team meeting, open to all Club members, features María-Elena Montero, vice president of programming at the D.C. Bird Alliance, on Wednesday, Oct. 9, in the Cosgrove Lounge. Registration is required.

The D.C. Bird Alliance seeks to build people-powered, bird-friendly communities throughout the Washington area and is an affiliate of the National Audubon Society. In addition to advocacy and education, the group's members take bird photos, and Montero will share many images from their outings that promote the benefits of bird conservation.
The Photo Team meeting begins with a self-funded lunch from the Reliable Source at noon with the program beginning at 1 p.m. Remote participants can access live audio of Montero's talk beginning at 1 with her slides distributed in advance to remote participants.
