Volunteers sought for Club's Member Author Group

The Member Author Group is here to assist Club members promote their books and needs volunteers to help out.

The group is looking for members attend monthly meetings and participate in the give-and-take of selecting books and offering ideas for presentations.

Once an event has been chosen, a member of the group volunteers to act as liaison with Club staff to arrange the date and time. That person then works with the author to write a notice in the Wire and introduces the author at the event. Following the event, another member of the group writes a wrap-up story for the Wire, which  also can help promote the book.

A book event at the Club can serve as an author’s first step in marketing fiction, non-fiction, memoir, short-story collection, graphic, or sci-fi works to an audience of the author’s choosing.

Participants can help other members get their work promoted, while teaching those working on books what goes into holding an event at the Club.
