Getting the most out of the library resources: The Bloomberg Terminal
Members of the National Press Club have access to a Bloomberg Terminal as part of their annual membership.
The Bloomberg Terminal is located in the Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library, and members can use this resource in person anytime during Club hours. The computer is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Remote access is not available.
Bloomberg covers news in more than 100 countries, with real-time information on markets, economies, politics, and more. Using the Terminal, members can find breaking news worldwide along with proprietary research.
Instructions for logging into and using the Bloomberg Terminal, including common search keywords, and are posted next to the computer. Please note that the username and password are case-sensitive.
In addition to the Bloomberg Terminal, members can use other databases and materials available in the library, including Leadership Connect and LexisNexis. There is not a librarian on duty, but questions about these resources can be sent to National Press Club Journalism Institute staff at [email protected], with responses typically within 24 hours on weekdays.
No food or drink is allowed in the library. Members are asked to clean up after themselves as they are leaving.
The National Press Club Journalism Institute, the Club’s nonprofit affiliate, operates the Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library.
