"The Night Watchman," winner of the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for fiction, explores Native American dispossession in 1950s through the character of Thomas Wazhashk, a night watchman and tribal chairman of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa in North Dakota, who tries to persuade the U.S. government to honor its treaties with the Native American people. The New York Times called in a "magisterial epic."

To RSVP and receive a Zoom link, please email Fay Iudicello at [email protected] by Thursday, June 15.  Those who RSVP should expect to receive the invitation at 9 a.m. on June 17.

Want to get a head start on the next book? On July 15, the group will discuss "The Fish That Ate The Whale: The  Life & Times of America's Banana King" by Rich Cohen.
