Are you looking to get more out of your National Press Club membership?  Maybe you're looking to meet other Club members? By joining a National Press Club team you're doing both!

The Broadcast-Podcast team meets monthly and serves as a forum for members interested in multimedia journalism, including radio, television, podcasting and digital. The team hosts a variety of activities including professional development, podcast creation, social events and lively monthly discussions.

Join us for our monthly Broadcast Team meeting, Thursday, October 7 at 12 p.m. ET.  Our next meeting will feature former broadcast journalist Steve Katz, who will tell us about his journey to become Executive Producer/show runner for “America’s Most Wanted” and other reality programming. This hour-long meeting will take place in-person in the Cosgrove Room (or virtually via zoom if you can't make it in-person) and all are welcome!

About the Speaker

As a London-based international radio correspondent for The Associated Press, award-winning journalist and producer Steve covered wars, terrorism, diplomacy, even a royal wedding. After returning stateside, Steve covered national news from Washington, DC, including assignments at The White House, State Department and Capitol Hill. He then became Chief Supervisor of the AP’s Radio Network, overseeing day-to-day coverage and breaking news. From there, he moved to a new start-up called Fox News Channel, where he oversaw news coverage by all domestic bureaus and then became Bureau Chief for New York and the Northeast. Steve then pivoted to producing non-fiction documentary television projects. He spent more than a decade at the iconic Fox Television series “America’s Most Wanted,” first as Supervising Producer and then Co-Executive Producer and Showrunner. He has since gone on to develop and Executive Produce several non-fiction television projects, mostly in the true crime space.
