Restoring Investor Confidence

Mr. Paulso talked about consumer and investor confidence in business and financial institutions in the wake of scandals which led to the financial collapse of the Enron corporation. Among the topics he addressed were accounting policies and practices, corporate governance, and corporate conflicts of interest. In his remarks he called for stricter accountability and better monitoring by organizations with oversight responsibility. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience.
