The Future of NATO

Secretary-General George Robertson spoke about the challenges facing NATO and how threats to European security had changed after the Cold War. Among the topics he addressed were cooperation with Russia and other former Warsaw Pact nations, the need for continued participation by the U.S., and the current situation in Kosovo where peacekeeping forces faced daily challenges. After his remarks he answered questions from the audience.
