Mr. Price talked about the implementation of higher standards in America's public schools. He stressed that higher standards are needed but they should not be implemented until efforts have been made to achieve the higher standards. He focused on the efforts of the Urban League to promote higher academic standards among urban children. After his prepared remarks he answered questions from reporters.
