Australian Economic Growth
Mr. Murdoch talked about the economic prosperity in Australia. He focused on the Asian economic crisis and how Australia was able to thrive during those adverse conditions. He attributed this growth to the influence of a strong U.S. economy, moving Australian exports away from Asia, and allowing the Australian dollar to depreciate. After his prepared remarks he answered questions from the audience.
