Annual World Population Report
Mr. Scruggs and Ms. Pollack talked to reporters about the State of the World Population Report for 1999. They focused on the needs of many of the world's people for safe water, food and shelter. They also examined the twenty-year action plan to address the HIV epidemic, family planning education, and education of young people. After their prepared remarks they answered reporters' questions.
