Integrity in Law Enforcement

Attorney General Reno discussed the relationship between police and the citizens they protect. She focused on how trust between these two groups is essential for effective law enforcement and that many minority groups do not trust police officers. She stressed that effective policing does not involve the violation of human rights and police departments must make such conduct unacceptable. After her prepared remarks she took questions from the audience.
