U.S.-South Korea Relations

While in Washington, DC for a security conference between U.S. and South Korean leaders, Ambassador Laney spoke about the current state of U.S.-South Korea relations. He emphasized the close ties between the two nations and responded to charges by many in the U.S. and South Korea that the Clinton administration has vacillated in its policy policy toward North Korea. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience of reporters.
