Telecommunications Law Impact on Service
Mr. Roberts spoke about the impact of recent changes in telecommunications law on consumer telephone service. He stressed the benefits of competition and that local and regional monopolies are attempting to hinder the implementation of these changes in order to preserve their monopoly status and thereby deprive consumers of lower prices and wider services.
