Future of the Internet

Mr. Barksdale spoke about the role of the Internet in business and the standardization of this communication medium. He emphasized the phenomenal growth in the usage of this medium and how both consumers and businesses can use it in a myriad of ways. He also talked about the Intranet one of the Internet's newest application, which applies the same communications technology to local networks such as one office or building, to improve interoffice communication. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience.
