Meeting

In less than six months the United States will elect a new president. Regardless of who wins the election, either President Obama or President Romney will have their work cut out for them as the U.S. economy continues to struggle for improvement. Contagion from Spain and Greece, the Bush tax cuts, automatic spending cuts, and interest rates – these are only a few of the challenges facing our new president and our economy. As the first in a series of discussions around the presidential election, the National Press Club invites you to join a panel discussion with business reporters who are also giving close attention to these issues and the candidates’ policies on them.

Panelists:

Greg Ip, US Economics Editor, The Economist
Jim McTague, Washington Editor, Barron’s
Ben White, Wall Street Correspondent, Politico
