Summit of the Americas Preview

Secretary Bentsen talked about the upcoming Summit of the Americas in Miami. He talked about U.S. support for free trade and democracy that has spurred such developments in Latin America and the importance of this meetig for continuing cooperation between the U.S. and its hemispheric neighbors. He also outlined the Clinton administration's economic achievements, including deficit reduction and job growth. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience.
