United Mine Workers Issues
Mr. Trumka spoke to a luncheon audience on the United Mine Workers' perspective on labor and business issues. He discussed the situation of the average coal miner in the U.S., and went on to speak on the legislative agenda for the United Mine Workers in terms of pressure for higher wages and labor-management relations. Following his prepared remarks, he responded to questions submitted by audience members.
